What I thought: I think I'm going to have a hard time writing this review, because this book blew my mind, and I'm pretty much still in shock! Okay so it's like 450 pages, and that is seriously intimidating, so I kept putting off reading this book until I released for almost 3 months and I knew I couldn't put it off any longer. I READ THIS IN TWO SITTINGS, and that's only because I started it at night and if I had tried to read it all at once, I would be dead now.
The Bone Season is a magical journey about a world in which clairvoyants are not allowed to exist. Paige is taken away to a special place called 'Sheol I' and placed under the care of the Warden, her master, who is to train her and her abilities. That is basically the short version. This book is jam-packed with so many twists and surprises that I can't really say too much for fear I'll accidentally blurt everything out, and I really don't want to ruin it for everyone.
Paige is a strong character, and she proves it at every turn. She's determined not to be a slave, not to die and to get home, back to her criminal family. Warden is definitely a character that kept me guessing, although I knew he was going to be someone I loved, despite the fact that he's not from this world.
This book has some serious action, violence, betrayal and so much strength oozing from every page. I can see why there is so much hype, and in my personal opinion, I believe it deserves it.

The Good: This book was absolutely nothing like I expected - and it absolutely drew me in!
The Bad: While there was a cliffhanger, there was no obvious indicator of what is to come in the next book, which has got my brain going crazy!
